Is complete freedom from limitations
possible in 30 days or less?
"How long should it take for an unlimited being to
discover that he is unlimited?" ~ Lester Levenson
What you are about to read is NOT the truth. However, below you will find some pointers towards the ultimate state of Freedom that various traditions have spoken of as "Truth", "Nirvana", "liberation" and "enlightenment." Let us avoid these mystical-sounding terms, by simply calling it "Freedom."
The notion of complete freedom from limitation and suffering is unheard of by most people, who are themselves, immersed in limitation. Also, the direction one would head in to realize such freedom runs completely contrary to what most of us are raised to believe -- namely, that the way to happiness is through the fulfillment of our desires (i.e. get the perfect house, spouse, car, job, etc.). In fact, the exact opposite is true -- the way to complete happiness is through the releasing of our endless desires (concepts and feelings of lack and limitation). However, don't take this to mean you can't have everything you want... because you can.
This state of freedom, according to some who have realized it for themselves, is precisely what everyone is looking for and struggling for day in and day out, whether aware of it or not.
This newsletter will explore what this freedom is and how to achieve it. We'll also share some gains from graduates who have tasted this state of freedom and who have testified that there is nothing better.
"Everyone is looking for the same thing. And this thing that everyone is looking for is happiness with no sorrow. A continuous state of happiness with no taint whatsoever of sorrow. We can call this a state of "Beingness." ~ Lester Levenson
If you are familiar with Lester's teachings, then you know that his aim in sharing the Release Technique with us was not only to help us achieve our goals such as financial independence, loving relationships and perfect health -- although his method has certainly helped thousands of graduates achieve these things. His real aim was to give us the key to everything -- the ultimate freedom -- the "pearl beyond price," which Lester himself claimed to have discovered in 1952. This state of complete freedom, once fully realized, can never leave you.
"Why is this the Goal? Because imperturbable happiness is our basic nature! And what is imperturbable happiness? Complete and total freedom, the freedom to do or not to do anything and everything. This is our natural state, the state which exists before we encumber it with limitations. ~ L.L.
Let us say it right upfront. It does not matter how many boats, houses, cars, relationships or successful careers you achieve. It does not matter that you marry the "perfect" partner, land the "perfect" job, have a "perfect" family, make a huge amount of money and have all your material, emotional and intellectual desires fulfilled. You will never be satisfied until you realize the state of complete freedom.
The moment we attain a desire, immediately, there is a fear that it could be lost, and we begin thinking about how to protect it ("What we own, owns us." ~ L.L.). There's always that feeling in the background, that what we attained, could be lost.
Along with this fear of possibly losing what we have, there is also often a feeling of, "Hey, I got what I wanted. But, it didn't make me happy the way I thought it would." This happened to Lester. That is why he made money, and lost money, again and again until he discovered the real source of permanent happiness. He lost the money because once he achieved it, he realized it did not give him lasting happiness, and so he lost interest in the direction of making money, and the money fell away. Most of us do this all the time, as we seek our permanent happiness in relationships, money, jobs, material things, accomplishments, etc, only to end up disappointed again and again. With this disappointment, we quickly turn our attention to a new desire, thinking our happiness must be there.
Why do people at the so-called "top of their game" commit suicide with drugs, alcohol and destructive behaviors? Because they thought that when they finally got what they wanted and won the world's approval, it would finally make them happy. But, when they got there and discovered that their success not make them happy -- but, rather, only more insecure -- they were at a complete loss. Even winning the approval of everyone in the world, it would never bring happiness, if you are out of touch with who you are.

"Hey, I got what I wanted. But, it didn't make me happy
the way I thought it would."

Mind you, there is NOTHING wrong with having money, or relationships, or perfect health, or even all these things. That is what the Abundance Course is all about. Releasing is about "having" things effortlessly, rather than getting stuck in the mere "wanting" or desiring of things. But, beyond even the attainment of all your desires, the course serves a much higher purpose -- which you may or may not be ready for or inclined to strive towards. That higher purpose is to give you a way out of suffering -- permanently -- and to establish you in a rock-solid place of peace and happiness that never leaves you. The Release Technique, beyond just helping with material gains, is actually the means for you to eliminate every trace of lack, limitation and suffering from your life -- if you'll use it.
And, by all means, if you have an immediate desire for money, or better health, or a new home, or a loving relationship -- GO FOR IT. But, do it effortlessly. Do it through Releasing, as then you are in the state of being 'not the doer' and are doing it in alignment with your natural state of effortlessness.
"The world as you now see it is really a product of your imagination and when you see the Truth, the world turns out to be a dream, a fiction created in your mind. First, you will see it as a dream, then you will see it as a dream that never really was. In fact, you will experience it exactly as you do a night dream.
"While you are in a night dream, you have a body, there are other bodies, there is action, interaction, there is good and there is bad. And so long as you remain in that night dream, everything there seems real to you. But when you awaken from the night dream, you say, "My gosh, it was just a dream! It never really happened! It was all a dream!" This is exactly the same manner in which you will awaken from this dream called the waking state. You will come to see that it was only a creation of your imagination, only a dream; and then you will let go of it lock, stock and barrel, and what you will be left with is the infinite you! Then you will call yourself fully realized, totally free.
"Actually, we are fully realized all the time. That is part of the irony. We are fully realized Beings saying we are not. So all we have to do is let go of "we are not" and what is left over is the fully realized and free Being that we are." ~ L.L.
My intention for this newsletter is to "kindle the flame" of your desire for freedom. As Lester says, this is the one desire that will not get us in trouble. All the rest, even when satisfied, will tend to be addictive to where we feel we must satisfy them again and again, and again, there will always be that fear of the thing we attained being lost. What is the point in attaining something you cannot keep? At some point, you will suffer it's loss, as nothing is permanent, except the freedom that Lester and others have discovered, and which we are talking about here.
Perhaps, the only wisdom in satisfying a desire is when we use it to realize that it does not bring about the permanent happiness we seek. At which point, we let it go and begin looking in the direction where our permanent happiness and freedom can be found -- in our own basic nature.
"Seeking fulfillment of desire in the world cannot undo the lack since the lack is not in the world in the first place. Lack is a creation of the mind. And yet we go on and on trying to satisfy desire externally. But of course, we never, never succeed. For if we could succeed, we would be able to satisfy desire and therefore all desire would disappear!" ~ L.L.
So, what is freedom?
So, how do we achieve this state of freedom?
The Best Method
"The very best method of all methods is to quiet the mind by releasing all subconscious feelings and thoughts.... What is left is the Being that you are." ~ L.L.
The way to complete freedom is to KEEP RELEASING. Thoughts in a particular direction culminate in feelings, which in turn motivate more thinking. This endless thinking 24 hours a day -- both conscious and subconscious -- never allows us, for even a moment, to rest in who we are. It keeps us constantly looking away from the tremendous being that we are.
Find out who it is that you've been constantly looking away from, and you'll be happy, free, healthy and abundant for the rest of your days. You can discover it right now. Freedom is only a "Release" away.
Practical steps for non-graduates:
1. Get the Abundance Course which will teach you the complete Release Technique method as taught by Lester Levenson. This course is complete unto itself and is a basic and an advanced course rolled into one. If you do everything as taught in this course, and continue Releasing, you will achieve the ultimate freedom we are talking about in this newsletter.
2. If you want to reach freedom faster, use the support tools we have made available at the request of graduates. Take the advanced courses, attend some live classes and retreats, and get hooked up with a Releasing partner to help accelerate your progress. The sky is NOT the limit. It is even beyond the sky. Why delay your freedom and abundance?
3. Read Lester's life story.
Practical steps for graduates:
1. Make the decision to have complete Freedom. Once this decision has been made, there is no stopping. All the other steps to Releasing depend on this first step being in place. In other words, you must want Freedom more than you want the world.
2. Do your Goal Charts every day. Goals are very important on the path to total freedom. They show you where you still feel you have limits.
3. Knock out the core underlying feeling generators as much as possible. Knock out 1% of these underlying generators and you knock out 1% of all limitation across the board. Use this short-cut to freedom.
4. Take the Goals & Resistance Course and the What Do You Want To Do When You Grow Up? Course if you haven't already done so, and connect with your Releasing partner every day for support. Please note, the WDYWTD? Course is VERY ADVANCED.
5. Attend live classes and retreats as often as possible. They accelerate momentum tremendously.
6. Love yourself. Approve of yourself unconditionally. Fill yourself up with positive energy, as negativity and limitations cannot exist in a positive environment.

Here are some gains from graduates on the subject of freedom:
"I reached a state of joy so strong that I had to walk it off until it was bearable. I experienced several hours of complete peace with no thought whatsoever---pure love."
Mark Lemaire, Monument, OR
"I have felt myself slipping into beingness quickly, easily... I have been waiting for suffering to come up, and none does!
Thank you, Larry and Lester."
Patricia M. Duke, DN, Chicago, IL
"More than ever before, I've come to love every single person around me. I'm free to use the 'butt method' with ease for everything."
Kris Dillard, San Antonio, TX
"On the 4th day of the course, I dumped a bag of guilt I'd been carrying for 33 years since Vietnam. On the 5th day of the course, I retrieved a part of my soul that was severed and stuck 10,000 miles away in Vietnam. I am home. I am whole. I am eternally grateful."
Rick Neal , Alpharetta, GA
"I would like to share some of the things that have happened, to encourage you to continue releasing for freedom.
The mind stilled. "So what?," you might say. But let me explain; no more worries, doubts, recriminations, etc. Just a delightful peace. A deep sense of resting no matter what was happening. No matter what happens now there is always that state of resting. Of being. The mind can never touch me again. It comes and goes but I know it can never touch me again." Read Kam's entire gain.
Kam Bakhshi, United Kingdom
"Dear Larry,
"I just purchased "What Do You Want To Do When You Grow Up?" [a very advanced course -ed] You mentioned that this was a powerful course, and boy you weren't kidding!
"I just listened to the first tape last night and BAMO! I feel like I stumbled into the source of FREEDOM, eternal bliss, that which is beyond value and more valuable than anything.
"I wrote a few notes down this morning, to capture a little of what I experienced, which I would like to share with you and anyone else who might be interested. It was all stimulated by the very first tape in your course.
"I know that this brain does not know anything. I am not going to listen to it anymore. I'm amazed at how miserable I have been listening to my thoughts, and how miserable one's thoughts make you. I am even more astonished that this is precisely the place where ALL, every single one of our problems come from! No where else! There is no misery until you start listening to your thoughts. The mind always looks for what is wrong. That's what it thinks its job is. It is the sower of worry and anxiety. Knowing that I do not have to listen to the mind again is my greatest freedom.
"What is freedom? It is freedom from the mind. It is the state that you are in when you are no longer subjected to the mind. The mind is what binds us, puts us in bondage. Knowing that it is mine (this mind) and that I do not have to be a victim to it provides me with the golden key to freedom. The mind was the ONLY thing that was putting me in bondage, and now that I have gotten rid of it, I have gotten rid of that bondage.
"It is so simple. The mind is a creator of dreams that bind us. Everything but Being is a tape of the mind. Only Being is true. Everything else is false; and all falsehoods have their source in one place: the mind. How convenient. To destroy to all illusion, I have to go to only one source. 'Lay the ax to the root' of this one source and one is left with eternal bliss. One knows what FREEDOM is.
"We do not need to suffer, and we never needed to suffer. And the reasons for our suffering were so inconsequential, so empty . . . the bonds that held us had far less substance than a thin sheet of tissue. Roar with laughter at this hilarious joke! Love peace more than the story...
"There are no wants. There is nothing to do. Those thoughts are recordings of the brain, sowing the seeds of endless misery. The mind weaves a web to convince me that I am something that I am not. It wants me to think that I am what I do, or that I am this body, or that I am unsafe, or that I have unfulfilled wants that I must struggle after. If I listen, I fall into its snare and suffering, sweaty anxiety, fear, panic all are the result. But I do not have to listen. What the brain tells me are empty empty lies. I am infinite, eternally at rest, endlessly creative, full of laughter and peace."
